STUDY OPPORTUNITY FOR ASIAN-AMERICAN NICU PARENTS:* Texas Woman’s University College of Nursing is conducting a study of Asian Americans parents regarding their experiences of having a baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This study is open to all Asian Americans residing in the United States who are 18 years of age or older and who is a parent of a child that was a patient in the NICU. Our goal is to develop ways to help support Asian American parents during the stressful experience of having a child in the NICU. If interested, please complete this survey through https://twu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bNuHpiqNm6gkfyK to determine eligibility. If you are eligible and would like to participate, you will complete an interview via Zoom with Dr. Linda Merritt (a nurse researcher and Adjunct Professor at Texas Woman's University) and/or Kayla Ngo (a Texas Woman’s University nursing honors student) about your experiences in the NICU and will take 30-45 minutes of your time. Participation is voluntary. Please note there is a potential risk of loss of confidentiality in all email, downloading, electronic meetings, and internet transactions. An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects’ research at Texas Woman's University reviewed this project and found it acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research. *This study is not conducted by or affiliated with Hand to Hold.
